What is Group Therapy?
Group therapy can be a very powerful experience for people. It can be attended instead of or alongside other therapy and often allows for accessing deeper emotions which may not appear in individual therapy. It is also a financially more accessible option for some people. In joining a therapy group, you will become part of a vehicle for change both for yourself and others in the group too. The group is a space where members can share their experiences and identify with others who may be struggling with similar issues which they might not speak about anywhere else. Often members no longer feel so isolated, are relieved of shame and gain a sense of hope for the future.
